Amy co-founded Lightbox in 2012 with Jessica Biggs and Benoit Grogan-Avignon. After graduating in 2014, she has worked on numerous wildlife documentary filmmaking projects. She now lives in Bristol where she continues her work as a shooting researcher.

Alexandrina joined Lightbox in her first year and she quickly became a key team member, heading up the Culture Team in 2017-2018. She now lives in Italy, studying Dance Performance.

Maddy Bazil

Maddy joined Lightbox in 2014 and became part of the Culture Team in 2016. While at Lightbox, she developed an interest in documentary photography, which she is now exploring further at the University of Cape Town in South Africa.

After graduating in 2017, Raphael worked as a strategy consultant for one year in China before moving back to Edinburgh to pursue a Masters Degree in Environmental Law. His passions include street photography, comedy and producing French synth-pop music.

Ekin managed Lightbox in 2014, while also serving as editor of Stereoscope Magazine. After graduating in 2016, she is now pursuing a Masters Degree in Cultural and Social Studies at NYU.

Gala Netlyko

Gala was Lightbox’s first Head of Photography, helping to professionalise the company and pushing its trademark aesthetic in 2013. After working in legal consultancy for 2 years, Gala moved back to St Andrews to launch a Scandinavian restaurant with her partner.

Alyssa joined Lightbox’s newly formed videography team in 2014, and since went on to become Head of Videography for her final two years. After graduating, she moved to London to complete an MA in Communication & Media Studies, and now works as a Festival Operations Officer at the British Science Association.

After joining Lightbox during her year abroad programme from Western University, Maryam continued her studies in Canada with a Masters Degree in Critical Theory. She now focusses on research within the Medical Humanities with a view to enter Medical School next year.

Katya served as Business Manager for Lightbox between 2014-2015, overseeing a huge growth in the number of members and work carried out in St Andrews. After graduating in 2016, she now works in Finance Analysis in New York.
